Reactive mechanical HVAC works at The Hilton Esplanade, Cairns
Tonon Plumbing Group's Mechanical division, working alongside PACMECH, carried out reactive mechanical works at The Hilton Esplanade.
Due to the age of the chilled water distribution system insulation & vapour seal, corrosion had formed on a Schd40 100mm carbon steel bottle trap on the flow line serving the pre-conditioning units on L9.
TPG was able to respond and carry out a shut down and replacement of the leaking bottle trap and return the units to service, thus making sure that our tourists and The Hilton staff are kept comfortable throughout their stay in Cairns.
One of the key takeaways from this attendance is the importance of continual monitoring of HVAC infrastructure to ensure that redundancy and control are achieved when things go wrong.
